The hotel is undergoing an intense refurbishment at present and will be taking bookings again from 23 May 2008.
Built in 1856, Rothay Garden is located in beautiful Grasmere, and offers a peaceful Lakeland retreat. It is set in the heart of the Lake District with tranquil setting and easy access from all directions.
Rothay Garden is overlooked by majestic fells in the Vale of Grasmere, and is the perfect choice for enjoying a holiday in the English Lake District. Windermere is only 10 minutes away and the drive from the M6 takes approximately 40 minutes.
The hotel is run under the personal supervision of Chris Carss, the Managing Director. Chris uses his considerable experience of around 30 years in the hospitality industry and Lake District hotels in the day to day management and on-going development programme of the Rothay Garden Hotel and Restaurant.

Rothay Garden offers a range of bedrooms named Rydale, Langdale and Grasmere, after some of the most beautiful surrounding areas.
The Rydale rooms are the classic standard double and twin rooms with en suite bath or shower room.
The Langdale are the superior double rooms with a spa bath.
The Grasmere are the luxury rooms (some with a spa bath).
All of these rooms have an ensuite spa bath, luxury bathrobes, colour satellite tv, welcome tray, telephone, baby listening, hair dryer, settee and trouser press. Overlooking the gardens, river or fells of the vale of Grasmere.
